Snowmobile Tours by Northwood Adventure Tours and Inn, Manitouwadge, Ontario Start your snowmobile adventure by setting your sights on the Northwood Adventure Tours & Inn as your departure point for several days of great riding.

Only four and a half hours from Sault Ste Marie in the East, and four hours from Thunder Bay in the West, Manitouwadge offers a huge variety of trail preferences sure to please all snowmobile riders.



Travel in any direction for a day of excellent riding and scenic adventures:

NORTH
Choose the ride to Nakina, the newest club to join the district, where you can tour an ultra modern saw mill run by Buchanan Forest Products. The Hillsport Hillton is situated near the CNR main line and also serves up a great lunch including the famous McDorion burger for the hungry rider.
SOUTH-WEST
Ride to Marathon for the day and visit the Million Dollar Bridge registered in the Guinness World Book of Records as the longest snowmobile bridge in the world. Enjoy a great meal then ride back to Manitouwadge through a wilderness trail with breathtaking scenery and terrain.

EAST
Ride to Hornepayne and take in a good brunch at the restaurant of your choice then return to a home-cooked meal at the Northwood Inn.
SOUTH-EAST
Ride to White River to see Winnie the Pooh’s hometown along with a great meal.
SOUTH
Ride to the goldfields and take a tour of an operating gold mill processing gold ore into bullion.

PACKAGE PRICES

Guided Day Tours & Off-Trail Powder Riding Instruction - $37.50 USD per machine
Riders are responsible for their own meals, gas and oil for guide.

Lodging prices start at $84.00. Choice of full or continental breakfast. Dinner starting at $25.95 per person.

OFSC trail permits available at Dorion's Valu-Mart in Manitouwadge.


SNOWMOBILE RULES
  • Adults must posess a valid driver's licence, proof of ownership, insurance and registration to operate a snowmobile in Ontario.
  • Helmets are required for all operators and passengers.
  • Children ages 13 to 18 must be accompanied by a legal adult.
  • Children under the age of 12 must ride double with a legal guardian.
  • Speed limits:
    • Maximum trail speed 50 KM/H.
    • Maximum speed in town 20 KM/H
  • Trail Ethics:
    • Always operate at a reasonable and prudent speed within your ability.
    • Always drive on the right hand side of the trail and park to the right in single file off the edge of a groomed surface.
    • Stay on designated trails and respect landowner's property.
    • NEVER drink and drive! DUI on a snowmobile is illegal; penalties and fines apply to your driver's licence.
